Wakefield-Allen Swept On Road, Two Sets Come Down To Wire

HOWELLS – The Wakefield-Allen volleyball program was back in action after hosting an invitational and a home match this past weekend.

Tuesday evening featured a road contest with Howells-Dodge.

The Jaguars were able to sneak past the first and third sets with a sweep of 25-23, 25-14 and 28-26. Howells-Dodge is now 8-3 on the season as Wakefield-Allen fell to 3-9.

Devaney Brown paced the Trojans with 10 kills, followed by six kills, eight assists and 12 digs from Breanna Chase as well as four kills each from Courtney Bokemper and Summer Jackson. Cassidy Thomas was the team leader in set assists with 16 as Jamie Dolph picked up 12 digs. Haley Stapleton and Bokemper both added 10 digs and two service aces.

Wakefield-Allen is back at home on Thursday, September 13 with Pender coming to town.
