Wakefield-Allen Sweeps Pender With Same Score Each Match

WAKEFIELD – For the second time, Wakefield-Allen hosted a regular season volleyball match to go along with their home invite from last weekend. The Trojans played host to a fellow northeast Nebraska team Thursday evening.

From the Main Gym of Wakefield Community School, Wakefield-Allen entertained the Pender Pendragons.

Wakefield-Allen posted the same score in each set with a sweep over Pender (25-18, 25-18, 25-18). The Trojans improve to 4-9 on the season as the Pendragons are now 3-6.

Haley Stapleton paced W-A at the net recording a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs as Summer Jackson added 10 kills. Cassidy Thomas and Breanna Chase both added eight set assists while Jamie Dolph was the team leader in the dig department with 23.

Wakefield-Allen will next host a pair of triangular matches over the next two Tuesdays.

The Tuesday, September 18 triangular with Randolph and Walthill will be played in Allen while the Tuesday, September 25 triangular will be held in Wakefield with Wausa and Hartington-Newcastle in town. Both matches will start at 5:30 p.m.
