WAKEFIELD – After opening the month of October with one match last week, the Wakefield-Allen volleyball team took part in their lone match of the week Tuesday night.
From Emerson-Hubbard High School, the Pirates entertained Wakefield-Allen.
The Trojans secured the road win (25-15, 25-18, 25-17) to improve to 9-11 on the season as Emerson-Hubbard fell to 1-18.
Devaney Brown paced Wakefield-Allen at the net with eight kills, six service aces and two solo blocks followed by six kills from Courtney Bokemper. Breanna Chase added a team-high six set assists and 14 digs to go along with four aces with Cassidy Thomas was right behind with four assists and two aces.
Wakefield-Allen will be off for over a week before competing in the Homer triangular with Winnebago on Thursday, October 18.
