Trojan Wrestlers Secure Road Dual Victory At GACC

WEST POINT – After competing in the Stanton Invite over the weekend, the Wakefield wrestlers were back in action for a Monday night dual.

From Guardian Angels Central Catholic High School in West Point, the Trojans visited the Bluejays.

Wakefield secured a 40-27 road win at GACC thanks to contested wins by Jeremiah Chase (145) who won by major decision over Bo Oligmueller (12-1); Mitchell Fischer (170) won by fall over Jaryn Smeal (1:09) and Giovani Salcedo (220) won by fall over Dax Doernemann (1:47).

Samuel Chase (106), Isaac Walsh (113), Kolton Fischer (132) and Ronnie Ramirez (152) all won by forfeit.

GACC victories went to George Fraher (285) by fall over Rylan Weaver (1:49); Joshua Jansen (138) by decision over Caleb Chase (7-5), Ethan Baumert (160) by fall over Gabriel Lamprecht (5:48) and Cale Schwer (182) by fall over Bradley Haglund (0:33 seconds).

Cash Meier (195) won by forfeit.

Both teams double forfeit 120 and 126.

The Wakefield Trojan wrestling program will close out their December schedule with a road invite at Osmond this Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
