Trojan Volleyball Suffers Two Road Losses

WYNOT – The Wakefield-Allen volleyball team had put together three straight wins entering Thursday night’s road triangular, their third of five on the season.

From Wynot, Wakefield-Allen also competed with Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

In the match with Wynot, the Trojans suffered a sweep (17-25, 21-25) and it was LCC winning in three-sets over the Trojans (25-21, 15-25, 25-16). Following the two losses, Wakefield-Allen is now 9-9 on the season.

During the loss to Wynot, Alli Jackson recorded a team-high six kills followed by Alex Arenas with four kills and Jordyn Carr added three kills. Aishah Valenzuela totaled 12 digs while Carly Dickens tallied 13 set assists and five digs.

From the three-set loss to the Bears, Carr and Jackson (eight blocks/four being solo) both posted six kills while Arenas finished with five kills. Valenzuela added a team-high 16 digs as Dickens finished with 11 set assists.

The Wakefield-Allen volleyball team will next join Hartington-Newcastle during the Wausa triangular on Tuesday, October 1.
