WISNER – After participating in the Wilber-Clatonia Duals, the Wakefield wrestling program went back to work for a road invitational.
From Wisner-Pilger Public Schools, 16 teams competed in the Wisner-Pilger Invite Saturday.
Omaha Bryan won the invite with 179 points, followed by Ralston in second with 160 points, East Butler placed third with 118 points while Howells-Dodge and Summerland tied for fourth with 112 points each.
Other team scoring went to Clarkson-Leigh (sixth – 56), Wakefield (seventh – 55), Stanton (eighth – 46), Wisner-Pilger (ninth – 43), Lutheran High Northeast (10th – 36), Creighton (11th – 33.5), Scribner-Snyder (12th – 23), BRLD (13th – 21), Lincoln Southeast (14th – 20), Omaha South (15th – 19) and Cedar Bluffs had one wrestler in action.
Wakefield was led by Samuel Chase (106), Jeremiah Chase (145) and Gabriel Lamprecht (152) all came in fourth.
The Wakefield wrestling program will next compete in the Madison Triangular along with Ponca on Thursday, January 14 at 6 p.m.
