Tri County League Tournament Begins Tuesday: Wayne Pony Teams Open With Home Games, Wayne Didget Teams Qualify In Gold Bracket

WAYNE – After both Wayne Pony youth baseball teams concluded their regular league schedule with Sunday wins, both begin the 16-team league tournament inside the top five.

First round Tri County League Pony Division tourney games will begin on Tuesday, June 28.

#3 Wayne Blue (10-1) won 13-9 at Wakefield on Sunday. The Wayne Blue Ponies will host #14 North Bend (2-8) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

#4 Wayne White (9-2) won a home game of 11-1 over Pierce on Sunday. The Wayne White Ponies will welcome in #13 Logan View (2-8) at 8 p.m. on Tuesday (following Wayne Blue game). Wayne White won 10-0 in Wayne over Logan View on June 15.

Second round games are scheduled for Thursday, June 30; semifinal games on Tuesday, July 5 and consolation/finals on Thursday, July 7. Pierce will host the Pony semifinal, third place and championship games on July 5 and July 7.

 

Both of the Wayne Didget youth baseball teams qualified for the top 13 (Upper Division) Gold Bracket.

According to a release from the Tri County League, #7 Wayne Blue and #13 Wayne White are scheduled to open their league tourney on Tuesday, June 28.

#7 Wayne Blue (8-3) will host #10 Howells-Dodge (7-4) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Howells-Dodge edged the Wayne Blue Didgets 2-1 on June 9 in Howells.

#13 Wayne White (6-5) will visit #4 Emerson-Hubbard (8-3) at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Second Round Didget Gold Tournament (Upper Division) games will be played on Thursday, June 30 with the seminal games on Tuesday, July 5 as well as consolation and finals on Thursday, July 7. Oakland will host the semifinal, third place and championship games.

The Didget Blue Tourney (Lower Division) will also begin on Tuesday.

With the Bronco Division concluding their regular season on Monday, June 27, their upper and lower brackets will be posted on Tuesday to begin first round games on Wednesday.
