Tri County League Bronco Tourney Prepares For Second Round, Didget & Pony Brackets Released

WAYNE – As the Wayne Bronco youth baseball teams prepare for their second round, the Didget and Pony teams are one day away from starting the Tri County League Tournament.

After securing home wins on Monday, the Wayne Bronco teams will hit to the road tonight as #7 Wayne White (7-4) in the Upper Division (top 12 teams) will visit #2 Schuyler (9-1) while #3 Wayne Blue (5-7) in the Lower Division (bottom 8) will visit #2 Logan View Gold (5-7) at 6:30 p.m.

Wayne Blue suffered a 7-4 loss against Logan View Gold on June 1 while Wayne White has not played Schuyler this year.


Didget brackets were released earlier this morning as both Wayne teams will compete in the Upper Division (top 12 teams). Lower Division (11-team) bracket.

Wayne Blue secured the #2 seed with their 10-1 record and will await the winner of either #7 Oakland-Craig or #10 West Point Patriots who play Thursday evening. Wayne Blue earned a bye and will play on Tuesday, July 6.

For Wayne White, they finished 6-5 and earned the #11 seed. The team will visit #6 North Bend Orange on Thursday, July 1 with the winner having to travel to #3 Pender next Tuesday.


Both Wayne Pony teams will also open the 14-team Tri County League Tournament on July 1. From the Summer Sports Complex in Wayne, #3 Wayne White (7-4) will host #13 Bancroft-Lyons (1-10) at 6 p.m. followed by #3 Wayne Blue (8-3) vs. #14 Schuyler (1-10) at 8 p.m.
