Lutheran High Northeast defeats Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 42-16. Recap story will be posted later tonight.

NORFOLK – A pair of football teams who qualified for the eight-man playoffs last year will meet for a weeknight district showdown.

From Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk, the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears will visit Lutheran High Northeast. Kickoff is slated for Thursday, October 10 at 7 p.m.

LCC enters at 4-1 while the Eagles are 3-2 and both coming off wins last Friday. After suffering their first loss in late September, the Bears opened the month with a 68-29 homecoming win over Madison while Lutheran High Northeast snapped a two-game losing streak thanks to a 40-12 road win at Elkhorn Valley.

Last season, Lutheran High topped LCC in Laurel (62-42).
