Third Meeting In Less Than A Week, HCC Sweeps Eagles Thursday

HARTINGTON – Following a pair of meetings in the Wakefield-Allen Invite last weekend, the Hartington Cedar Catholic volleyball team met with Lutheran High Northeast Thursday.

From Cedar Catholic High School, HCC entertained the Eagles.

The Trojans swept LHNE for the third time this season, this time in three sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-16). HCC improves to 13-2 as the Eagles fell to 8-5.

Jada Cattau was the team leader for Cedar Catholic posting a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs while adding six service aces. Maddie Wieseler picked up a double-double with 13 set assists and 12 digs to go along with nine kills as Aiden Wortmann also recorded a double-double with 15 assists and 12 digs.

Hartington Cedar Catholic will next compete in the Stanton Invite on Saturday, September 15. Teams competing within the invitational include Arlington, Battle Creek, Clarkson-Leigh, HCC, Ponca, Twin River, West Point-Beemer and the host, Stanton. Games will start at 9 a.m.
