Soft Opening Update From Wayne Community Activity Center, To Begin December 28

WAYNE – With the doors still closed to the public besides those with 24/7 access and participating in group fitness classes, the Wayne Community Activity Center will begin a soft opening later this month.

According to a post on the Wayne Community Activity Center & Aquatic Center Facebook page, the CAC will begin their soft opening on Monday, December 28 until further notice.

By reservation only, the gym and youth room will be available between Monday – Friday from 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Saturday’s from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday’s from 12:30 – 9 p.m.

Walk-ins are also welcome on the track and weight room at the same times as above while the 24-hour access to the weight room will be available outside of the regular business hours.

No reservation will be needed for the walking track or weight room while those interested in using the court space and youth room will need to contact the Activity Center beginning December 28. Call the front desk at 402-375-4803 as you must be 18 years or older to make a reservation. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian present.

Those making reservations must have an active membership as a max of eight people will be limited to a court for a maximum of two hours per group.

Once you arrive, check in and go straight to your reserved court/youth room and remain in that area unless using the restroom, locker room or drinking fountain as the drinking fountains are refill stations only.

Locker rooms are also available upon request.

The walking track will be open on Thursday, December 24 from 5:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day. On Thursday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve), the Activity Center will be open from 5:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. and closed New Year’s Day. Those with 24/7 key fob access, the Activity Center will be open throughout all holiday hours. The Wayne Community Activity Center will resume their normal hours on Saturday, January 2 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m.
