Six Champions Crowned, Remaining Consolation Results Complete; Final Championship Games Slated For Saturday  

LINCOLN – Make way for the first set of champions during the 2022 NSAA Girls and Boys State Basketball Championships as six finals and four consolation rounds are complete.

Class D1 boys opened the morning, followed by Class C1 girls, Class B boys, Class C2 boys, Class A girls and Class D2 girls were all in action for championship games at the Pinnacle Bank Arena

 

The first half of the championship games were played on Friday from the PBA:

D1 boys: #1 North Platte St. Patrick’s defeated #3 Loomis, 65-57

C1 girls: #2 North Bend Central defeated #1 Lincoln Lutheran, 35-31 in overtime

B boys: #2 Omaha Roncalli Catholic defeated #1 Omaha Skutt Catholic, 52-37

C2 boys: #3 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family defeated #4 Grand Island Central Catholic, 43-42 in overtime

A girls: #2 Fremont defeated #5 Lincoln Southwest, 37-32

D2 girls: #1 Falls City Sacred Heart defeated #2 Humphrey St. Francis, 43-33

 

The final four consolation rounds competed at Lincoln East High School on Friday:

C2 girls: #7 Oakland-Craig defeated #4 Crofton, 60-57

C1 boys: #3 Kearney Catholic defeated #8 Fort Calhoun, 79-65

D2 boys: #2 Falls City Sacred Heart defeated #5 Osceola, 63-40

D1 girls: #2 Archbishop Bergan defeated #8 Hartington Cedar Catholic, 60-39

 

Final six championship games are back at the PBA on Saturday.

Class D1 girls: #3 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family vs. #4 Shelton at 9 a.m.

Class C1 boys:#2 Ashland-Greenwood vs. #4 Auburn at 11 a.m.

Class B girls: #1 Elkhorn North vs. #2 Omaha Skutt Catholic at 1 p.m.

Class C2 girls: #1 Hastings St. Cecilia vs. #3 Bridgeport at 4 p.m.

Class A boys: #1 Millard North vs. #2 Bellevue West at 6 p.m.

Class D2 boys: #1 St. Mary’s vs. #6 Parkview Christian at 8 p.m.
