WAYNE – As the Wayne State College football team is scheduled to host an individual camp on Saturday to conclude their series of camps and the Wildcat volleyball program has hosted several summer camps, many more camps are being scheduled for August.
According to the ‘camps’ link under the wscwildcats.com website, a second Wayne State College men’s basketball Elite Camp is scheduled for Thursday, August 5 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Instruction for 10th – 12th grade students will be provided by head men’s basketball coach Jeff Kaminsky and staff while campers will compete against other top players in the region.
Cost for the camp is $50 which includes lunch.
The men’s basketball elite camp will be held at Rice Auditorium and the WSC Recreation Center. Register online at https://www.wscmensbasketballcamps.com/elite-camp.cfm as no walk-ins, cash or checks will be accepted.

A Prospect Camp is being scheduled for Friday, August 6 which will feature several collegiate baseball coaches from the Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota area. This will mark the 22nd annual Wayne State College All-Star baseball camp which is restricted to students graduating between 2021 – 2024.
The first come, first serve camp will be limited to the first 50 paid applicants. Session I will begin at 9 a.m. with Session II starting at 2 p.m. Cost per session is $80.

The Wildcat baseball team will also be hosting their ‘Alumni & Friends’ golf outing on Saturday, August 7 from the Shoreline golf course and Carter Lake, Iowa. Email assistant coach Tyler Vaughn (email@example.com) for more information.
A second Summer College ID Camp will also be held on Saturday, August 7 by the WSC women’s soccer team. This camp is meant for current 9th – 12th grade girls only and will last from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. with cost being $75.
Instruction will be led from head women’s soccer coach Emily Hester and staff on all facets of the game at the WSC soccer field located west of the football stadium and north of the Student Center.
Also, end your summer with some high-level basketball during the Wayne State College women’s basketball Elite Camp. This camp will be for girls in 9th – 12th grade.
From Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College, the WSC women’s basketball elite camp will be held on Sunday, August 22 from 1 – 5 p.m.
Head coach Brent Pollari will be joined by assistant coach Kacie O’Connor and graduate assistant Dalton Smith. Campers will increase their training skills, take part in competitive drills and compete in games against other campers and WSC players.
Cost to attend is $60 which includes a camp t-shirt.

Also, plan on joining the WSC Football ‘Cats Unite Classic’ on Friday, July 23 starting at 9:30 a.m. from the Wayne Country Club. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. as individual registration is $100. Other prices include being a hole sponsor for $50, the ‘Starter Package’ for $150 (hole sign and golfer registration), the ‘All-Conference Package’ for $450 (hole sign and four golfers) along with the ‘All-American Package’ for $1,000 (hole sign, four golfers and sideline pass for one game).
