WAYNE – As another summer full of golf and memories quickly closes in, the 2022 Senior Golf schedule has been released.
Most Tuesday’s will make up this year’s seven-month Senior Golf League, weather permitting.
Courses being highlighted include the Hartington Golf Club, Cedarview Country Club in Laurel, Twin Creeks Golf Club in Pender, Logan Valley Golf Course in Wakefield and the Wayne Country Club.
The first Senior Golf outing was scheduled to be on Tuesday, April 19 in Pender with a 10 a.m. tee time and last through October 18. Tuesday morning’s outing was canceled due to cold weather.
The group will plan on playing next Tuesday, April 26 at Cedarview Country Club in Laurel with a 10 a.m. tee time.
The only non-Tuesday’s scheduled so far will be on Thursday, July 7 and Thursday, September 29. Another change for this year is optional lunches are now $10.
Eligible players include anyone 50 years and older who enjoy golf and meeting new friends. Visitors from any club are always welcome.
The format will feature four-person teams selected the day of competition and battle for the lowest net-nine hole team score adjusted according to individual handicap. Carts are provided by club members and each country club.
Fees for nine holes of golf and a cart are $5 for league host club members or $15 for visiting league members and visitors. Fees from all participants include $1 for prize money distributed to the top teams based on the number of entries.
