Register For 2020 Swim Lessons At The CAC

WAYNE – Swimming lesson information and details at the Wayne Aquatic Center have been announced.

According to a release from the Wayne Community Activity Center, swimming lessons are scheduled in two-week sessions at the same time each day between Monday and Wednesday for a total of eight days (allowing Thursdays and Fridays for rain days).

Each class size is limited to the first 15 students who sign up as cost is $35. Residents can sign up online or when the pool is scheduled to first open on Saturday, May 23.

Level six swimming lessons for Session I (Fitness Swimming) will last from June 8 – 17; session II (Personal Water Safety) will be scheduled for July 6 – 15 and session III (Fundamentals of Diving) July 20 – 29. Lesson times for levels one through four will be 10 – 10:45 a.m. and 11 until 11:45 a.m. while levels five and six will be 10 until 10:45 a.m. only.

Parent/child sessions will run from Monday, June 22 – Friday, June 26 between 6 – 6:30 p.m. with cost being $35.

Private swimming lessons are also available upon a first come first serve basis for one week (30 minutes each). Cost is $75 for five days between June 8-12; 15-19; 22-26 or July 6-10; 13-17; 20-24 and 27-31. Open times would be noon; 5 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.

Again, the pool is tentatively scheduled to open on Saturday, May 23 and close Monday, September 7.
