WAYNE – As Senior Legion teams competed in their second round on Tuesday, Junior Legion baseball teams are preparing for their next round.
North Division Senior Legion scores from Battle Creek favored #1 Battle Creek over #4 Hartington, 8-0 and #2 South Sioux City defeated #3 Crofton, 11-7. Battle Creek will host South Sioux City at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 1 in the North Division Final.
South Division Senior Legion scores from Pawnee Park in Columbus favored #1 Columbus Lakeview over #5 Oakland-Craig, 11-1 while #3 Pender knocked out #2 West Point, 5-3. Pender will host Lakeview at 7 p.m. in the South Division Final also on Friday.
The two winners will square off on Saturday, July 2 in West Point for the RBL Senior Legion Championship game at 7:30 p.m. while the losers will play at 2:30 p.m. also on Saturday in West Point in the consolation round.
2022 RBL Tournament Schedule 6-29-22
The 2022 Ralph Bishop League Junior Legion Tournament will continue on Thursday, June 30.
In the North Division from Hank Overin Field in Wayne, #1 Wayne Post 43 (18-0 overall) will host #2 Battle Creek at 7 p.m. Earlier this season, Wayne won 5-1 at Battle Creek on May 26.
In the South Division Final from Arlington, #1 Arlington will host #2 Pender at 7 p.m. also on Thursday.
The two winners will square off on Saturday, July 2 in West Point for the RBL Junior Legion Championship game at 5 p.m. while the losers will play at noon also on Saturday in West Point in the consolation round.
