O’NEILL – Wrestlers with the Quad County Northeast program competed in a road triangular.
From St. Mary’s high school in O’Neill, Quad County joined Guardian Angels Central Catholic competing in the St. Mary’s triangular.
In the first match, Quad County defeated GACC 51-9.
Match wins for Quad County Northeast saw Cody Martin (138) over Joshua Jansen by fall (2:26); Tie Hollandsworth (145) over Ethan Baumert by decision (14-10); Austin Stammer (160) over James Rolf by fall (0:30); Levi Jackson (170) over Cale Schwer by fall (1:40); Israhel Vance (195) over Carsten Knobbe by fall (5:34) and Fischer Carson (285) over George Fraher by fall (1:21).
From the final match, Quad County won against the host St. Mary’s 66-6.
Match wins for Quad County came from Ajay Gubbels (170) over Wyatt Scofield by fall (0:42); Carson (285) over Andrew Koehlmoos by fall (0:55); Martin (138) over Will Schmitz by fall (1:43) and Sutton Ehlers (145) over Lawrence Werth by fall (0:40).
From the middle dual, GACC won against St. Mary’s 48-6.
Quad County Northeast was scheduled to visit Winnebago for a dual Friday but due to illness the competition has been postponed.
Another area result saw South Sioux City defeat West Point-Beemer 62-30.
