Ponca Sweeps Randolph, Wins Fourth Straight After Season Opening Defeat

RANDOLPH – After a season opening loss, the Ponca volleyball team has rallied off three straight wins entering a Tuesday night road contest.

The Indians visited the Randolph Cardinals in a Class C2 at D2 match-up.

Ponca went onto sweep the Cardinals (25-15, 25-20, 25-8) to now sit 4-1 on the year while Randolph fell to 1-6.

Josie Reid led Ponca in the kills department with nine and 12 digs followed by Kaci Day with eight as well as six kills and nine digs from Alyssa Crosgrove. Meg Keller tacked on eight digs; Reid had three blocks and three service aces; Bree Gill tallied three blocks and Morgan Nelson paced the team in set assists with 25.

Ponca will next compete in the Wakefield-Allen Invite Thursday while the Cardinals will be in Osmond for a triangular with Emerson-Hubbard also Thursday.
