NSWCA Girls State Wrestling Results

YORK – With NSAA high school postseason wrestling taking place in the month of February, a Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association (NSWCA) Girls High School State Wrestling Tournament was held this past weekend.

From York Public Schools, 178 female wrestlers were represented from over 60 teams on Friday and Saturday, January 29 – 30.

South Sioux City won the state tournament with 135.5 points, followed by Schuyler with 129 points, West Point-Beemer was right behind in third with 128 points, Amherst placed fourth with 118 points and Platteview rounded out the top five teams with 71 points.

Other area girls wrestling scores came from Pierce (seventh – 50), Winnebago (ninth – 44), Battle Creek (11th – 41), Scribner-Snyder (17th – 26), Creighton (T-19th – 24), Stanton (24th – 23), Wisner-Pilger (27th – 21), Crofton-Bloomfield (36th – 12), BRLD (T-37th – 11), Norfolk (T-39th – 10) and Pender has one wrestler compete.
