NSIC South Division Rivals Take To The Gridiron Saturday Night

WAYNE – Following a dominating defensive performance last Saturday, the Wayne State College football team is in search for their first home win of the season.

From Bob Cunningham Field on the campus of Wayne State College, the 1-1 Wildcats will host fellow 1-1 NSIC South Divisional rivals Augustana University on Saturday, September 15 at 6 p.m.

Following several Family Day activities, Memorial Stadium will be the place to be as WSC and Augie meet for the 20th time in program history. Augie leads the series 10-9-1.

Wayne State College snapped a three-game losing streak to the Vikings with a 16-13 win in Sioux Falls, South Dakota last year.

WSC recently won 23-14 at Southwest Minnesota State while Augustana suffered a 38-36 home loss to then #3 Minnesota State-Mankato (Mavericks ranked #2 now) last Saturday.

Thursday night: #16 Minnesota Duluth defeated St. Cloud State, 41-17.

University of Mary at Minot State at 3 p.m.

Minnesota Crookston at Bemidji State at 4 p.m.

Southwest Minnesota State at #24 Sioux Falls at 6 p.m.

#11 Winona State at Upper Iowa at 6:05 p.m.
