NORTH PLATTE – The two-day 2018 NSAA Girls Golf State Championships game to an end Tuesday where Class A ended with their scores complete on Monday.
Class A golfers had their second day cancelled due to weather where Norfolk’s Kylie Ehnes-Blume (97) and Leah Vanderheiden (114) finished T-33rd and T-66th respectively.
Because of weather, round two was cancelled where Lincoln Southwest led after day one and was crowned Class A champions with a 341 and North Platte came in runner-up with a 358.
Class B also cancelled their second day round earlier Tuesday.
Area teams and individuals closed out the Class C division from River’s Edge Golf Club in North Platte.
Hana Nelsen of Wayne High finished the opening day with a 111 (54/57) to finish 51st.
Class C area teams were led by West Point-Beemer tied for seventh after day one with a 444, Battle Creek (12th – 447), Norfolk Catholic (13th – 452) and Hartington Cedar Catholic (14th – 455). Cozad and Ogallala tied for first with a 390 team score.
Top 20 area individuals came from Brook Diekemper of West Point-Beemer tied for fifth with an 88, Pierce’s Sydney Erickson (T-ninth – 91), Anna Kassmeier of Norfolk Catholic (T-16th – 97) and another Pierce golfer of Samantha Svendsen (T-18th – 98).
Other day one final area results: Paige Peters of TC (21st – 99), Kylee McLean of Battle Creek (T-29th – 102), Megan Lutt of Battle Creek (T-38th – 106), Ireland Biltoft of HCC (40th – 107), Hanna Neesen of Norfolk Catholic (T-48th – 110), Rebekah Kleinschmit of HCC (T-55th – 113), Meghan McCracken of BC (T58th – 114), both Lauren Heine of HCC and Shelbie Woerman of West Point-Beemer (T-61st – 116), Kalee Gilsdorf of Norfolk Catholic (T-65th – 117), Sophie Alfson of West Point-Beemer (T-67th – 118), Hallie Noecker of HCC (T-69th – 119), Madeline Erb of West Point-Beemer (T-71st – 122), Tessa Kruger of Battle Creek (T-76th – 125), Kailey Oswald of West Point-Beemer (80th – 127), Carly Thramer of Norfolk Catholic (T-81st – 128), Maizie Christensen of HCC (85th – 130), Autumn Alder of Norfolk Catholic (T-86th – 133) and Emma Wilkinson of Battle Creek (90th – 146).
