NSAA Activity Practices Suspended Until March 30, Earliest Activity Competitions Could Be April 2

LINCOLN – Officials with the Nebraska School Activities Association posted a release effective immediately as of Monday, March 16 that there’ll be over a two-week period of no NSAA activity.

According to a release from the NSAA, all activity practices are suspended until Monday, March 30 and all NSAA activity competitions are suspended until Thursday, April 2. These suspensions may be extended should the conditions warrant.

Member schools and student-participants are expected to adhere to the NSAA Constitution & Bylaws and activity manuals during this time.

As more information becomes available, official updates will be posted on the NSAA website and the NSAA social media platforms as well as waynedailynews.com.

 

Wayne Community Schools scheduled sporting events:

Blue Devil baseball team will miss five games being at Arlington (3/23); vs. Fort Calhoun (3/24); at Thurston-Cuming County (3/26); vs. Wahoo (3/27) and vs. Douglas County West (3/31). Their next competition would be hosting Crete at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2.

Wayne boys golf team was scheduled to open their season in the West Point-Beemer Invite on Wednesday, April 1. Their next competition would be Monday, April 6 during the Oakland-Craig Triangular at 4 p.m.

Wayne track & field team would miss the Columbus Relays on Tuesday, March 31 in Columbus. Their next event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 being a home invite from the Kern Track at 1 p.m.

 

Wakefield Community School scheduled sporting events:

Wakefield track & field team would miss the Stanton Invite (3/31) and would next compete in the Wayne Invite on Tuesday, April 7 starting at 1 p.m.

The Trojan boys golf team is scheduled to begin their season on Thursday, April 9 with a road triangular in Oakland with BRLD and Pender at 3:30 p.m.

 

LCC Schools scheduled sporting events:

The LCC track & field team would miss the WSC Indoor meet on March 21 and next open their season on Monday, April 6 in the Knox County Invite hosted by Creighton starting at 1:30 p.m.

The LCC boys golf team is scheduled to begin their season on Monday, April 13 during the Randolph Triangular at 4 p.m.
