WAYNE – Today (Thursday, November 3) is the final day for those interested in taking part in the Wayne State College baseball 2022 HitTrax hitting league.

According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, games will be confirmed once the total number of campers is set. Each player will play a DH each week with a minimum of four players per team.

The WSC baseball HitTrax hitting league will provide a competitive environment that simulates game-like intensity. Stats will be kept and shared with the opportunity to use some of the best hitting technology in northeast Nebraska and hit at any Major League stadium of your choosing.

The camp is open to those between the ages of 8 – 18 as the cost is $100 per player. The league will be held each Sunday in November (6, 13, 20, 27).

Those who sign up must bring personal bats and helmets as baseballs will be provided. Participants will hit off a pitching machine, compete in two, six-inning games each week while facing fastballs along with all variations of off-speed pitches for the older players. A minimum of four players will be needed to make up a team and everyone who is there must bat.

Reach out to assistant Wayne State College baseball coach, Tyler Vaughn at tyvaugh1@wsc.edu or call 515-574-9351.
