NORFOLK – A total of 55 student-athletes from Northeast Community College were named to NJCAA All-Academic teams for their efforts in the classroom this past season.
According to a release from Hawks Athletics, student-athletes are eligible to earn academic honors by achieving an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher for the 2021-22 academic year.
The criteria for the three All-Academic teams include NJCAA All-Academic First Team: 4.00 GPA; NJCAA All-Academic Second Team: 3.80-3.99 GPA as well as NJCAA All-Academic Third Team: 3.60-3.79 GPA.
In addition, all eight athletic programs at Northeast Community College were named a 2021-22 NJCAA Academic Team of the Year as the baseball, men’s basketball, men’s golf, men’s soccer, women’s basketball, women’s soccer, softball and volleyball programs all received the honor.
