WAYNE – Closing out the final Tuesday in July, the Men’s Senior Golf League in northeast Nebraska will be in Wayne.
With three more months of scheduled golf, this week’s host during the senior golf league will be the Wayne Country Club at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30. Golf courses the league visits are in Hartington, Laurel, Pender, Ponca, Wakefield and Wayne.
Eligible players are anyone 50 years plus who enjoys golf and meeting new friends as visitors from any club are always welcome. The format is broken down into four-person teams selected the day of the outings.
Teams will complete for the lowest net nine-hole team score adjusted according to individual handicap. Carts will also be provided by club members and each country club.
Cost per club member is $13 at visiting courses and $3 on home courses while non-member of any league course will be charged nine-hole green fees plus $3. Fees from all participants include $1 for prize money distributed to the top four or five teams.
Lunch is offered at each course for $6.

Other golf dates for the 2019 men’s senior golf league will be all Tuesday’s in August at 9:30 a.m. (6/13/20/27) Thursday, September 5 at 9:30 a.m.; and the remaining Tuesday’s in September at 9:30 a.m. (10/17/24) along with all but the last Tuesday in October at 10 a.m. (1/8/15/22).
