KEARNEY – A week full of events and activities will kick off Monday in preparation for the annual Nebraska Shrine Bowl game.
According to the Nebraska Shrine Bowl Executive Board, 2020 will mark the 62nd annual game.
Team practices will last from Monday, July 6 – Thursday, July 9; a team walk-through on Friday, July 10 and game day being Saturday, July 11. The game will be played at Ron and Carol Cope Stadium in Kearney with kickoff slated for 2 p.m.
The Shrine Bowl of Nebraska is the state’s most prestigious high school all-star sports event. The 501(c)(3) non-profit produces annual events and related activities to raise funds and awareness to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.
NSB staff will enforce social distancing guidelines and are encouraging all attendees to share their Nebraska Shrine Bowl experience on social media by using the hashtag #NSB62 for all of your tweets/posts.
Rosters were updated on Friday, June 26 as northeast Nebraska representatives on the North Team will include Rex Becker and Jacob Keiser of Hartington Cedar Catholic; Kage Heisinger of Pierce; Jaxon Johnson of Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons Decatur and Luke Wakehouse of Tekamah-Herman.
