Nebraska Coaches Association Super State, All State Selections

LINCOLN – Super State and All State information for a handful of Nebraska fall sports were posted earlier this week.

According to a release from the Nebraska Coaches Association, girls golf, boys tennis as well as girls and boys cross country were posted. The NCA serves the coaching profession across Nebraska while providing a unified platform to promote education-based athletics.

A handful of area cross country runners were honored among the lists.

In girls cross country, Alexus Sindelar of Pierce earned the Class C Super-State selection. The Junior won the Class C race in a time of 19:18, just 10 seconds head of freshman Lindee Henning from Ogallala.

Sindelar helped her team place sixth with 117 point in the Class C team race.

 

Hartington native sophomore Carson Noecker and senior Mason Sindelar of Pierce were both represented in the Class C Boys Cross Country Super-State team. Noecker crossed the Class C finish line first in a time of 15:22 while Sindelar placed second in a time of 15:53.

The Pierce boys finished ninth as a team with 125 points as Noecker was an individual competitor.

 

Teammates junior Abraham Larson and sophomore Kolter Van Pelt of Stanton, junior Grand Lander of Homer and junior Ben Hammond of Norfolk Catholic all received Class D All-State recognition. Larson placed third in a time of 17:10, Van Pelt was right behind in fourth (17:11), Lander finished fifth (17:20) and Hammond placed seventh (17:21).

Norfolk Catholic placed runner-up with 19 points (five points from Aquinas Catholic) while the Stanton and Homer runners were individual competitors.

 

Senior Abby Brodersen of Boone Central will be joining the WSC women’s golf program next year as she recently was listed as a Super State recipient. After being tied with junior Lynzi Becker of Cozad after a day one 77, Brodersen shot a 78 to finish first as the Class C state champion by two strokes.
