Anthony Smith will compete for his first UFC title Saturday when he faces light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in the main event at UFC 235 in Las Vegas.
Smith (31-13), who grew up in Nebraska City and lives in Omaha, joined UFC in 2016 and gets his title shot after three straight stoppage victories in the thin 205-pound division.
He’ll be the underdog against Jones (23-1), who has been dogged by a number of positive doping tests in the past few years.
The fight is available on pay-per-view for $65, or fans can go to Little Ted’s Pub & Grill in Nebraska City and watch the fight on several TVs for a $20 cover charge.
