WAYNE – Due to high winds and road conditions championship Monday has been postponed for the 2019 Great Northeast Shootout Wayne Basketball Tournament.
Tournament officials are working with Wayne State College to check what a possible Tuesday game schedule could be. As of this morning the tournament is postponed for Monday games.
Scheduled games are:
Girls seventh place game: Wayne High girls vs. Auburn
Girls fifth place game: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge vs. Hartington Cedar Catholic
Boys seventh place game: West Point-Beemer vs. Pender
Girls third place game: Pender vs. Arlington
Boys third place game: Wayne High vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge
Boys championship game: Hartington Cedar Catholic vs. Auburn
If Hastings St. Cecilia still can’t make the trek to Wayne there would be no girls championship game between West Point-Beemer and the Bluehawks or a boys fifth place game between Arlington and Hastings St. Cecilia.
