Mid State Conference Bracket Released, Wayne High Earns Top Seed

BATTLE CREEK/PIERCE – First round action of the Mid State Conference Tournament is set to begin Monday evening.

Games will be played in Battle Creek and Pierce starting with a play-in match at 4:30 p.m. between #8 (10-13) Crofton and #9 (7-18) Boone Central/Newman Grove in Battle Creek. The winner will face #1 seeded (24-4) Wayne High in the evening around 7:30 p.m. with the #4 (14-10) Hartington Cedar Catholic vs. #5 (12-9) GACC match scheduled for in-between at 5:30 p.m.

Mid State Conference Bracket

Matches in Pierce will open with #3 (23-4)  Battle Creek vs. #6 (15-10) O’Neill at 6 p.m. followed by #2 (20-4) Norfolk Catholic vs. #7 (9-17) Pierce around 7:30 p.m.

Winner’s will play in Battle Creek and loser’s in Pierce on Tuesday, October 22 with the championship, consolation and fifth place games being played in Battle Creek on Thursday, October 24. The three teams who lose after Tuesday will play a triangular Thursday with the site determined by the highest seed of those teams.
