ST. PAUL – Following Thursday’s postponement to the Wayne High road baseball game, a new date has been selected along with a home game being played earlier later this month.
The Wayne High baseball team is 5-4 on the season and have won back-to-back home outings. WHS won 1-0 over Guardian Angels Central Catholic/Scribner-Snyder/West Point-Beemer on April 4 then followed with an 11-4 victory against South Sioux City.
Thursday’s scheduled road game at St. Paul/Palmer was postponed due to weather. St. Paul/Palmer is 0-5 on the season recently losing to Central City/Fullerton/Centura, 14-2 on April 4.
The Wayne at St. Paul/Palmer game has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 14 with varsity starting at 4 p.m. and JV to follow.
Wayne High will next host Fort Calhoun on Saturday, April 9 at 11 a.m. from Hank Overin Field for varsity action followed by JV around 1 p.m. which was rescheduled from earlier this year.
Another change will be for Monday, April 18. Wayne is hosting Platteview and the game has been moved up to a 2 p.m. varsity start time followed by JV action.
