WAKEFIELD – Gearing up for their second game of the season at Tekamah Friday, the Wakefield juniors and Wakefield/Wayne Post 81 seniors will host an upcoming annual tournament.
From Eaton Field on Monday, May 27, three senior and two junior American Legion baseball teams will be featured for a one-day Chuck Ellis Memorial Day Tournament.
The lone juniors contest will be a single nine-inning game between Wakefield and Pender at 11 a.m. Moving into the senior contests West Point will face Pender at 2 p.m. while the Wakefield/Wayne seniors will play West Point at 4:30 p.m. and close out the night at 7 p.m. against Pender.
The Wakefield juniors and Wakefield/Wayne Post 81 seniors will close out May hosting Pierce on Wednesday and visiting Ponca Friday. Junior games will start at 5:45 p.m. followed by senior games at 8 p.m.
