Little League Baseball World Series To Feature Multiple Elimination Games Monday

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (SPELLING) – With the opening round complete and a trio of second round games in the books, the Little League Baseball World Series continues this week.

From Williamsport, Pennsylvania the winner of the Asia-Pacific region vs. Japan region will move into the international final while the loser will have to fight off an elimination game. On the U.S. side, the Southeast region is 2-0 and will await the winner of either the Mid-Atlantic or West region. Both semi-final games are scheduled for Wednesday.

Other Monday games along with the Mid-Atlantic/West region contest will be Midwest vs. Southwest (elimination game); Mexico vs. Latin America (elimination game) and Canada vs. Caribbean (elimination game). The Great Lakes vs. Australia region will also be in action today and the Europe-Africa vs. Northwest region on Tuesday as these teams were the first to be eliminated.

The U.S and International finals are set for Saturday, August 24 while the Little League Baseball World Series championship game is slated for Sunday, August 25.
