Lewis & Clark Girls Results, Saturday Boys Schedule

HARTINGTON – High school basketball programs competing in the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournaments played their final games ahead of the Lewis Division Championship games next Monday.

Several girls division games took place Friday night with the boys division games scheduled for Saturday.

The Lewis Division championship game will feature #1 Ponca vs. #2 Wynot at 6 p.m. followed by the boys finals between #1 Osmond vs. #7 Winnebago at 8 p.m. in Laurel on Monday, February 8.

Lewis Girls (1-8):

Hartington Cedar Catholic: #4 Winnebago defeated #3 Wakefield, 79-51 to finish third place and #8 Plainview defeated #7 Creighton, 49-44 to finish fifth. #6 Tri County Northeast placed seventh as #5 Randolph was unable to play their final two games due to COVID-19.

Clark Girls (9-16):

Hartington-Newcastle (winner’s): #9 LCC defeated #10 Osmond, 53-42 to finish third place and #12 Homer defeated #11 Hartington-Newcastle, 52-44 for first place

Bloomfield (loser’s bracket):  #16 Winside defeated #15 Walthill, 50-28 to finish seventh place and #13 Bloomfield defeated #14 Wausa, 59-47 to finish fifth place

Lewis Boys (1-8):

Hartington Cedar Catholic: #2 Creighton vs. #8 Bloomfield at 5:30 p.m. for the seventh place game; followed by #4 Wakefield vs. #6 Wynot for fifth and #3 Walthill vs. #5 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge for third place

 

Clark Boys (9-16):

Homer (winner’s): #9 Ponca vs. #10 Tri County Northeast at 6 p.m. for third place followed by #11 Homer vs. #13 Hartington-Newcastle for first place

Wausa (loser’s): #15 Plainview vs. #16 Winside at 6 p.m. for seventh place followed by #12 Wausa vs. #14 Randolph for fifth place
