WAKEFIELD/WALTHILL – After four locations hosted Pool play of the Lewis and Clark Conference Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, tourney play will begin Monday.
Osmond won Pool D and will open with Wynot as Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won Pool A and will face Randolph tonight in Walthill. Also, Tri-County Northeast won Pool C and will face Ponca while Wausa won Pool B and will compete against Wakefield from Wakefield.
The first round games Monday will be a best two-of-three format as well as the consolation match for the losers. The winner’s will play a best-three-of-five match. From the game four winners, they’ll compete at Ponca High School on Tuesday, October 19 for the Lewis & Clark Conference Finals (best-three-of-five) following the consolation match from the loser’s at 5:30 p.m. (best two-of-three).
Monday’s consolation schedule for teams who lost on Saturday:
In Bloomfield: Hartington-Newcastle vs. Plainview at 5 p.m. followed by Bloomfield vs. Creighton and in Winside it’ll be Homer vs. Walthill at 5 p.m. followed by Winside vs. Winnebago.
