WAYNE – For a third consecutive night, the Wayne Post 43 American Legion baseball teams were in action.
From Hank Overin Field in Wayne, Post 43 welcomed a non-Ralph Bishop League opponent on Friday being Albion.
The Wayne Post 43 Seniors suffered a 12-4 loss to now sit 2-4 on the season while the Post 43 Juniors shutout Albion, 10-0 improving to 5-0.
During the Seniors game, Justin Sherman doubled and singled while Aiden Liston singled twice, drove in a run and scored. Jacob Anderson singled and drove in two runs; Devin Anderson singled and scored; Wyatt Heikes and Toby Braun both singled as Calvin Ankeny and Kaleb Moormeier both scored.
Justin Sherman (66 pitches) suffered the loss in three and two-thirds allowing five runs (four earned) off five hits while striking out three batters and walking two. Devin Anderson worked two-thirds allowing seven earned runs off two hits while walking four batters as Alex Rodriguez closed out the final two-thirds striking out and walking one batter each.

In the Juniors contest, Alex Rodriguez singled twice, drove in two runs and scored; Devin Anderson singled twice, drove in a run and scored twice as Jase Dean doubled and scored. Aiden Liston singled, drove in a run and scored twice; Calvin Ankeny singled, drove in a run and scored twice as Kaleb Moormeier singled and drove in two runs. Ryan Karsky and Heikes also scored.
Liston (62 pitches) picked up the shutout victory in four and two-thirds allowing one hit while striking out eight batters.
