Lance Stange, Lakin Stange Represent Wayne Wrestling Club During Middle School Nationals  

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA – Two members of the Wayne Wrestling Club participated in weekend national duals.

According to a release, the Heartland National Middle School Duals were held at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa from April 15 – 16. Lance Stange (275) competed for Nebraska Red while Lakin Stange (195) competed for Nebraska Blue.

Nebraska Red won Pool E to participate in the Diamond Division and placed seventh in the top division.

Lance Stange (275) went 3-3 and won one match by forfeit. Match wins were by fall in 15 seconds over Devon Nabors (Iowa Gold); by fall in 1:25 over Cayden O’Reilly (Minnesota Thunder) and by fall in 1:06 over Cayden O’Reilly (Minnesota Thunder).

After placing fourth in Pool D, Nebraska Blue took part in the Gold Division and finished third.

Lakin Stange (195) went 2-4 and won two matches by forfeit. Match wins were by decision (5-4) over Joseph Smith of Indiana Gold and by decision (3-1) over Thomas Wells of Team Texas.
