Junior Golf To Begin In June

WAYNE – Several golf clinics will be offered at the Wayne Country Club this summer for the youth.

According to a release from the Wayne Country Club, their Junior Golf schedule will begin with four clinic sessions and on the course instruction in June for those age 6 – 17.

Level I will be for ages 6-9 and will golf from 8 – 8:40 a.m.; level II for ages 10-12 from 9 – 10 a.m. and level III for ages 13-17 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Clinic dates will be Tuesday, June 8 – Wednesday, June 9 as well as Tuesday, June 15 – Wednesday, June 16.

All levels will be on the course on Friday, June 11 and Thursday, June 17 between 9 – 10:45 a.m.

Cost per student is $80 for the two-week session as a maximum of 14 golfers will be allowed to participate in each level. Checks can be addressed to Wayne Country Club, P.O. Box 185 Wayne, NE 68787 to reserve your spot.

Instructors will be Kyle Schellpeper, PGA at the Wayne Country Club and Joey Baldwin, Wayne State College women’s golf head coach.
