Activity Center To Feature Pickleball Tuesday’s

WAYNE – The Wayne Community Activity Center would like to invite everyone to join in the fun of pickleball.

Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and all skill levels. Pickleball, played both indoors and outdoors, is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis where two or four players use solid paddles to hit a ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net.

The Wayne Community Activity Center is located at 901 West 7th Street and will host pickleball games at 8:30 a.m. each Tuesday morning.

The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn. Those who attend can develop their play into a quick, fast-paced game for experienced players.

Contact Parks & Recreation Director Lowell Heggemeyer or Recreation Services Coordinator Amber Schwarte at 402-375-4803 for more information. The Activity Center is open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 – 9 p.m. Sunday while the weight room is open 24/7/365 with key fob access.
