BETTENDORF, IA – A pair of individuals who participated in the Wayne Wrestling Club were in action this past weekend during ‘The Rumble Duals’.
From Bettendorf, Iowa at the TBK Bank Sports Complex, Isaiah Zarate competed on the ‘No Escape Wrestling Academy’ team in the 10U duals while Adrian Zarate was on ‘Team Gotcha’ in the 7U duals.
Isaiah Zarate (92) went 1-6 picking up a 28 second pin over Ramsey Crow of Untouchables Black.
Losses came from Carson Planer (Indiana Outlaws) by fall (2:22); Isaiah Saleh (Pomona Elite) by fall (1:48); Jeramiah Hayes (American Gladiators – Red) by fall (0:32); Alexa Guy (Untouchables White) by major decision (14-1) as well as two losses to Bryson Connelly (ARES) by fall in 1:00 and by fall in 1:15.
As a team, No Escape Wrestling Academy finished runner-up in Pool B picking up wins of 41-21 over Indiana Outlaws, 32-30 over American Gladiators – Red and 47-23 over Untouchables Black but suffered a 38-21 loss to ARES.
In the medal round, No Escape Wrestling Academy suffered a 41-19 loss to ARES in the seventh place match to finish eighth.

Adrian Zarate (53/56) went 1-8 securing a 37 second pin over Rylee Colby (Untouchables White).
Losses came from Tye Heysinger (Lead Miners) by fall (0:42); Tony Tinervia (ARES Black) by fall (1:41); Blake Winkie (Lead Miners) by fall (2:21); Jack Wachstetter (American Gladiators) by fall (0:31); Dane Luif (American Gladiators) by fall (0:34); John Jacob Sturgeon (ARES Red) by fall (0:38); Karson Smith (Nebraska Elite) by fall (0:12) and Kasen Cargo (Backyard Brawlers) by fall (0:34).
As a team, Team Gotcha placed fourth in Pool A with victories of 36-27 over Untouchables White; 41-22 over ARES Red and 33-28 over Nebraska Elite while also suffering losses to Lead Miners (50-7); American Gladiators (36-27) and Backyard Brawlers (54-6).
In the medal round, Team Gotcha suffered a 37-24 loss to American Gladiators in the seventh place match to finish eighth overall.
