Home Stint To Continue For Wayne State Baseball

WAYNE – After playing their 10th straight home game in Wayne earlier this week, the Wayne State College baseball team will play three more home games this weekend.

According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, a Wednesday snowstorm in Bemidji, Minnesota will allow for the ‘Cats to host the Beavers on Saturday and Sunday, April 2 – 3.

From the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex, Saturday’s doubleheader will begin at 1:30 p.m. followed a nine-inning game on Sunday at noon. The Wildcats will serve as the visiting team on the scoreboard in all three games.

Wayne State College is 11-12 overall (5-5 NSIC) and will look to snap a five-game losing streak after dropping a home doubleheader on Tuesday to Minot State. Bemidji State enters at 3-19 (0-8 NSIC) and have lost 10 in a row.
