High School State Football Games Set

LINCOLN – The two remaining high school football classes finalized their championship games for next week.

Monday late afternoon and evening, eight-man teams clashed as they were one win away from the title contest.

From Class D1 in the west: #1 Burwell (12-0) edged #6 North Central (8-4), 23-22 as in the east, #1 Creighton (12-0) downed #2 Exeter-Milligan/Friend (11-1), 72-26.

From Class D2 in the west: #1 Mullen (12-0) defeated #11 Lawrence-Nelson (8-4), 36-24 as in the east, #2 Johnson-Brock (12-0) took out #1 Humphrey St. Francis (11-1), 58-44.

Upcoming this weekend on Friday, November 16, the six-man playoff championship game is set to played at Foster Field hosted Nebraska-Kearney at 7 p.m. #1 Hay Springs (11-0) vs. #2 Wilcox-Hildreth (11-0).

 

Championship games scheduled from Nebraska-Lincoln for Monday, November 19:

Class D2 (10:15 a.m.): #1 Burwell (12-0) vs. #1 Creighton (12-0)

Class D1 (2:45 p.m.): #1 Mullen (12-0) vs. #2 Johnson-Brock (12-0)

Class A (7:15 p.m.): #1 Omaha Burke (12-0) vs. #7 Grand Island (10-2)

 

Championship games from Memorial Stadium scheduled for Tuesday, November 20:

Class C2 (10:15 a.m.): #1 Centennial (12-0) vs. #3 Norfolk Catholic (11-1)

Class C1 (2:45 p.m.): #1 Aurora (12-0) vs. #3 Ord (11-1)

Class B (7:15 p.m.): #1 Omaha Skutt Catholic (12-0) vs #.2 Scottsbluff (12-0)
