Hartington-Newcastle Volleyball Takes Three-Set Matches Over LCC, Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD – The Hartington-Newcastle took their six-match win streak on the road for their second of three triangular matches in October.

From Bloomfield high school, HNS was joined by Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Thursday night for the Bloomfield triangular.

Hartington-Newcastle won both matches in three sets over LCC (25-17, 22-25, 25-21) and against Bloomfield (24-26, 25-17, 25-13). The Wildcats are now 13-6 on the season and have won eight straight.

In the win over the Bears, Kayden Jueden recorded a double-double with 22 kills and 12 digs followed by Abbe Morten with nine kills and eight digs to go along with two service aces. Brianna Hopping added 26 set assists and nine digs as Keanna Korth finished with 11 digs.

During the victory against Bloomfield, double-doubles came from Abbe Morten with 16 kills and 13 digs as well as Kayden Jueden with 14 kills and 12 digs. Hopping tallied 27 set assists and six digs while Korth tacked on 10 digs.

Hartington-Newcastle will next host the HNS Tournament on Saturday, October 12.
