Hartington-Newcastle Takes Osmond Five For Home Win

HARTINGTON – Before getting a break during the weekend and competing in a road triangular early next week, the Hartington-Newcastle volleyball team was at home Thursday night.

From the Hartington Public Schools gymnasium, HNS entertained Osmond.

After winning the first set (25-18) but dropping sets two and three (25-23, 25-20), the Wildcats won the final two sets (25-19, 15-7). From the five-set victory, Hartington-Newcastle is now 7-6 while Osmond fell to 7-4.

Kayden Jueden posted a double-double with 22 kills and 14 digs to go along with three service aces while Abbe Morten added 14 kills, eight digs, three solo blocks and two aces. Brianna Hopping tallied 24 set assists and five digs, Alivia Morten finished with 19 set assists and five digs as Erin Folkers tacked on five kills, six aces and seven digs. Keanna Korth was second in the team in digs with 10.

Hartington-Newcastle will next join Wakefield-Allen during the Wausa Invite on Tuesday, October 1.
