Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout Day One Games Cancelled, New Bracket Released

WAYNE – Due to travel conditions for area teams, tournament officials for the 2018 Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout have cancelled day one games.

All games today that were scheduled to be played at Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College have been called off and a new adjusted bracket was released before noon Thursday.

With Gordon-Rushville not traveling, there are now seven schools being represented in the two divisions of girls and boys basketball teams.

Dates of the tourney will now be on Friday and Saturday, December 28-29 along with championship Monday, December 31.

Girls Division match-ups:

Hartington Cedar Catholic vs. West Point-Beemer at 12:30 p.m. – “The City” KCTY 98.9/1590

Norfolk Catholic vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge at 4 p.m. – “Big Red Country” KTCH 104.9

Pender vs. Arlington at 7 p.m. – “Big Red Country” KTCH 104.9
