WAYNE – With the start of the NSAA spring sports season for high school track & field teams, the normal two-division Wayne State College High School Invite will be condensed into one day.
According to a release from Wayne State College, the outdoor events will take place on the LeRoy Simpson Track inside Memorial Stadium on the campus of Wayne State College on Friday, March 19. Field events will begin at noon with running events starting at 1 p.m.
Participating teams include Boone Central, Columbus Scotus, Norfolk Catholic, Osmond, Stanton, Summerland, Tekamah-Herman, Wayne, West Holt, Chambers/Wheeler Central, Homer and Hinton (IA).
Fans will be allowed to attend, but must purchase tickets electronically. Tickets will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17. Admission is $5 for everyone.
A reminder per NSAA Spring Guidelines: active participants are permitted, but not required, to wear face coverings during competition/performance; spectators are required to wear face coverings for entrance to all activities; face coverings may be removed if outside and six feet of physical distance can be maintained and face coverings must cover the nose and mouth.
