Friday High School Playoff Football Slate

LINCOLN – Each of the Nebraska High School football playoff brackets are down to their final four teams.

Friday, November 12 will mark the semifinal round for playoff football across the state.

Area teams remaining include Pierce and Battle Creek in Class C1 along with Norfolk Catholic in Class C2.

 

Class A: #16 Omaha North (6-5) visits #5 Gretna (10-1) at 7 p.m. and defending state champion #2 Omaha Westside (11-0) hosts #3 Bellevue West (10-1) at 7 p.m. The winners will play on Tuesday, November 23 at 7:15 p.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Class B: #1 Bennington (11-0) vs. defending state champion #4 Elkhorn High (10-1) at 7 p.m. and defending state runner-up #2 Aurora (9-2) vs. #6 Omaha Skutt Catholic (8-3) at 7 p.m. The winners will play on Monday, November 22 at 7:15 p.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Class C1: defending state champion #9 Pierce (9-2) will host #12 Battle Creek (8-3) at 7 p.m. and #2 Kearney Catholic (11-0) hosts #11 Columbus Lakeview (9-2) at 6 p.m. The winners will play on Tuesday, November 23 at 10:15 a.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln. Earlier this season, Battle Creek won 24-6 over Pierce. (corrected).

Class C2: #1 Norfolk Catholic (10-1) vs. #13 Wilber-Clatonia (7-4) at 6 p.m. and defending state runner-up #2 Archbishop Bergan (11-0) vs. defending state champion #3 Ord (10-1) at 6 p.m. (Ord won 28-7 over Bergan last year). The winners will play on Tuesday, November 23 at 2:45 p.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Class D1: defending state runner-up #1 Burwell (11-0) visits #5 Howells-Dodge (11-0) at 7 p.m. and #10 Cross County (10-1) visits #6 Hitchcock County (10-1) at 5 p.m. The winners will play on Monday, November 22 and 10:15 a.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Class D2: defending state runner-up #1 Sandhills/Thedford (11-0) visits #13 Elgin Public/Pope John (8-3) at 6 p.m. and #7 Kenesaw (11-0) will host defending state champion #14 Bruning/Davenport-Shickley (8-3) at 6 p.m. The winners will play on Monday, November 22 at 2:45 p.m. from Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.

Six-man: #1 Potter-Dix (10-0) will visit #13 Spalding Academy (9-1) at 2 p.m. CT and #2 Cody-Kilgore (10-0) will visit #6 Wallace (9-1) at 6 p.m. CT. The winners will play on Friday, November 19 at 7 p.m. from Cope Stadium on the campus UNK.
