LINCOLN – A handful of classifications were posted in late July with the upcoming 2022 fall season approaching.
According to a release from the NSAA, the sports of cross country, softball, girls golf, boys tennis and volleyball were highlighted.
For Wayne High, the Blue Devils were listed the 18th largest Class C school with 199 total team enrollment in cross country. For softball, WHS will compete in Class C with the ninth highest total girls enrollment at 95. The Blue Devil girls golf team will also compete in Class C with the 14th most total girls enrollment (95). Wayne’s volleyball program will again take part in Class C1 listed at 19th for girls enrollment (95).
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge cross country was the 21st largest Class D school with 97 total team enrollment. The LCC girls golf team will compete in Class C listed at 41st with 52 total girls enrollment. The Bears are also listed 11th in Class C2 for volleyball (52).
The Wakefield volleyball program will complete in Class C2 listed 13th with 51 total girls enrollment.
Winside cross country was listed at 112th with 44 team total enrollment for Class D cross country. The Wildcat volleyball program will complete in Class D2 with the 40th most for girls enrollment (19)\

NSAA fall practices will begin for football, volleyball, cross country, girls golf, boys tennis and softball on Monday, August 8. First contests for girls golf and softball will begin on August 18 while football, volleyball, cross country and boys tennis first contests will be August 25.
