WAYNE – There is still time to sign up for a pair of Wayne State College football camps taking place over the next two weeks.
According to a release from Wayne State Athletics, the Elite Prospect Camps are scheduled for Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 26.
Each camp is open to high school football prospects going into 9th – 12th grade. This is a light contact (high and hard) padded individual camp where WSC coaches have the opportunity to teach and develop football fundamentals and techniques. Cost per camp is $55.
Players will need cleats and workout shoes, shoulder pads and a jersey, helmet and a mouthpiece, shorts along with any injury prevention items such as braces and wraps. The camp will feature individual instruction from WSC coaching staff, competition drills, performance testing and a camp t-shirt.
The 2020 Elite Prospect Camp will begin at noon with registration at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Wayne State College. Following introductions and stretching, performance testing instruction will take place followed by position drills, competition / 1 on 1s and a break around 3:50 p.m. Another round of position drills as well as competition / 1 on 1s will close out the evening around 5:20 p.m.

Other Wildcat football camps include the Young Cats Camp open for grades second through eighth on Monday, July 27 as well as high school eight and nine-man team camps between July 19 – 21 and July 23 – 25.
