SEWARD – As Class B girls basketball teams wrapped up their district final games last weekend, more teams punched their ticket to state while the remainder will be in action Friday.
A pair of northeast Nebraska teams had their game moved up a day played at Norfolk High Thursday following a boys subdistrict game.
#4 West Point-Beemer defeated #13 O’Neill, 53-43 as other Class C district finals were #3 Wahoo won against #14 Chasey County (54-37) and #10 North Bend Central knocked out #7 Grand Island Central Catholic (46-29).

Other Class C2 area games will be #2 Crofton vs. #15 Twin River from Norfolk Catholic High School at 5:30 p.m. and #4 Oakland-Craig vs. #13 Hartington Cedar Catholic at 7:30 p.m. from South Sioux City High School.
Class D1 area teams: #2 Pleasanton vs. #15 Randolph at 5 p.m. from Boone Central High School and #5 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family vs. #12 Hartington/Newcastle at 4 p.m. from Northeast Community College.
D2 area team: #8 South Platte vs. #9 Wynot at 5 p.m. from Ord High School.
